"032" The Canadian Affair

an experimental film in no language

“032” is a dreamy atmospheric journey through a series of suspended events. Music
from, The Good The Bad was commissioned to enhance the erie poetic palette that pivots
around stillness, leaving us curious to past and future.

The short film, uses texture and mood to slip through a rich tapestry of sliced
moments. It portrays the inherent power that an action, slowed almost to stillness, has
to evoke the imagination. Instead of the subjects moving within the shot, the camera
floats through almost perfectly still universes creating a erie yet undisputedly beautiful
world that is caught between past and future. While the shots which vary in tone from
mundane to optimistic to tragic do not offer a distinct resolution, the film ends on hopeful
note.

THE LAST HALLOWEEN

a narrative film in English

WINNER for BEST SHORT HORROR FILM at the iHorror Awards! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHwfuOmMYw0&spfreload=10

BravoFACT and Red Sneakers Media present THE LAST HALLOWEEN

Directed by Marc Roussel

Starring Ron Basch, Emily Alatalo, Angela Besharah and Julian Richings as Chatterbox

Synopsis: The city is quiet; the streets, deserted. It doesn’t much feel like Halloween, and yet four young trick-or-treaters – a Ghost, a Devil, a Grim Reaper and a Witch – make their way through the night, door to door and house by house, gathering up an unlikely harvest of kindness amid the devastated wreckage of society’s collapse.

In a world where the only rule is that there are no rules anymore, it is perhaps a fitting irony that it should all come down to this… a
simple choice between two starkly different options.

The Last Halloween is here at last, and the time has come to make your choice.

So, what will it be?

Trick? Or treat?

The Elusive Man

a narrative film in English

a Red Sneakers Media and Film PaniK production
Written & Directed by: Mark Sanders and Marc Roussel

Like us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Elusive-Man/177280112326322

Story by: Marc Roussel, Mark Sanders and Mark Thibodeau
Produced by: Ron Basch, Marc Roussel and Mark Sanders
Synopsis: What do an industrial chain manufacturer, a gold digging wife and international art thieves have in common..... Absolutely nothing! So how did all these strange people end up in the same factory with guns, knives and severed body parts?
Blaine Sutherland is a wealthy man; an industrial chain manufacturer living in the lap of luxury. Being filthy rich isn't one of the Seven Deadly Sins... but that hasn't kept Blaine from having a target painted on his back... and - thanks to his gold-digging wife and her boy-toy, Lance - his wallet.

Blaine's life turns upside-down in an instant when what seems like an ordinary day turns into a life-and-death confrontation with a ruthless band of international art thieves who invade his office, chop off one of his ears and demand that he divulge the whereabouts of a certain "Elusive Man".

Of course, Blaine has no idea what his tormentors are talking about. All he wants is his ear back! Who can he count on for help? The art thieves talk in riddles, and all his wife wants is as much filthy lucre as she can get her hot little hands on. And still, the question remains:

Who is the Elusive Man?

"As you sow, so you reap." This ambitious, bloody and darkly comic revenge fantasy from the award winning directing team of Mark Sanders (Boyfriend Latte, Split City) and Marc Roussel (Remote, Sweet Tooth) is an ever-expanding spiral of violence, betrayal and lies. Roussel and Sanders have once again joined forces with producer Ron Basch (Remote, Cellar) to create a film without good guys... only intriguing characters that get what they deserve and deserve everything they get!

Production Designer: Katelyn Di Giulio
Edited by: Mark Sanders C.C.E.

REMOTE

a narrative film in English

Synopsis: Temporarily connected in time, a man tries to prevent the murder of a young woman, living in his house 30 years in the past.

A Red Sneakers Media Production

Written and Directed by Marc Roussel
Produced by Ron Basch, Marc Roussel and Mark Sanders

Press:
"Mr Roussel is a VERY gifted writer and director, the performances here are elevated by his skill at his craft, and at 20 minutes; REMOTE wraps itself up in perhaps the neatest, most satisfying bow any fan of the short genre film could ever hope for." The Conduit The Conduit Speaks.com

"Short films generally need a good hook, and Remote has one...Director Marc Roussel exhibits a certain amount of style in the execution of Remote and manages to keep us guessing as to what is going on." Rue Morgue Magazine

"Why is it so good? Because Roussel was smart enough to focus on the writing. The story of Remote is tight. It takes a high concept involving a time-paradox and plays it out to its full, horrific potential. It has as much suspense, scares and twists as a feature length film so; in short, I'd say it's the whole package." Quiet Earth

"Remote is a really intense and original short. I'd love to see this story get the feature length treatment." Planet of Terror

"Remote is a tense thriller that has one completely invested in how it will turn out for the characters." All Things Horror

Starring Ron Basch, Sarah Silverthorne, George Komorowski, Peter Racanelli and Julie McCarthy

Éclat du jour - Daybreak (2013)

a narrative film in French

Canada, Quebec I 10 min 30 s | ALEXA | couleur | ratio 1.85 | son 5.1 | Français STA

In a wealthy Montreal suburb, Xavier and his friends are composing with pre-teen boredom. They hang out at the park, ride their bikes, mess with each other; it's yet another suburban summer afternoon. But beneath the smiles lies a growing tension, an certain violence which leads the group to a collective release of unexpected intensity; a ritualistic initiation into adolescence.

How to write an award-winning bestselling first novel | Nathan Filer | TEDxYouth@Bath

a talk in English

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Or at least be happier whilst trying!
This is Nathan's guide to novel writing in 7 easy (ish!) steps.

Nathan won the Costa Book Prize in 2013 with his debut novel, The Shock Of The Fall. It has been translated into 27 languages. Nathan worked part time as a mental health nurse in Bristol and his book’s narrator is a 19 year old boy with schizophrenia. He graduated from Bath Spa University in 2010 with an MA in Creative Writing and is now a lecturer in Creative Writing at the University.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Landjugend | Unter deutschen Dächern | Folge 3
