Copying = Stealing ?

a lecture in English

A webseries debunking the myths of copying.
A week left on Indiegogo! http://igg.me/at/copyme

In the digital world, to copy is to duplicate information to somewhere else, using your own computing power. Digital property is not a finite resource!
Episode number two is basically extending the talk about copying vs stealing. Before heading to deeper waters, we feel it's really important to cover these things at length. In the digital world, things are rather different.

New Era (short film / original score)

a narrative film in English

We wanted to create a short story with a simple message.
We liked the idea of leaving everything you know, abandoning your comfort zone and venturing off into the unknown.
Choosing happiness over security.
Forgetting about what everyone has told you and finding truth for yourself.
Realizing the finality of every moment that passes and its importance in your life.
Your decisions are important. You are important.
If you want something, go get it. If you're unhappy, try something new. If you feel lost, take a trip and find yourself.
Our goal with this film is to offer a new perspective.

Thank you so much for watching! We're new to filmmaking. This is our first short and we know it's not perfect. We would love to hear any feedback, encouragement or advice you may have. Thanks again!

The Gift

a narrative film in Russian

Directed by Carl E. Rinsch, ‘The Gift’ Belongs to the "pararell Lines" Phillips Cinema campaning. Placed in Russia, The Gift is a Sci-Fi short with a savage Chase sequence on it. We made more than 20 full CGI shots for the short. Check out the animated pictures to see how it has been done. We also made the vechicles and some characters desings. We enjoyed creating such an unusual atmosphere and sense. Not the regular Sci-fi film we are used to see...

Bed Time

a narrative film in English

A 7 year old boy asks his father to check under the bed for monsters... He does...

We shot this little horror short film based on a "Two Sentence Horror Story" on a warm Friday night in late March, 2014... It marks the début acting performance of young Joseph Mapusua; what a talent... His step-dad, Marc Peard did a pretty damn good job too... Ha ha... Also, big thanks to my Assistant Director, Marty Hemi, for keeping me sane and on schedule.

I cut it on the Saturday, then passed it on to the super talented Tama Te Huki to add his touch of magic to the sound... The only sound on the edited video that I handed him was Jo's dialogue... Everything else you hear on the finished product is designed, produced and mixed by Tama... Awesome, eh... This recipe seems to work well... We might have to do a few more, eh boys?

Thanks to our wives, Polly, Jana, Ange and Lin, for letting us Maori boys play movie-makers.

The 'Maori Wolf Pack' will be back with another one of these in the near future.

You may like having a good lunch in a quiet place as a park... But what if your lunch doesn't?
In the street everyone can hear you scream, but honestly who cares?

Vous aimez sans doute prendre votre déjeuner tranquillement dans un parc, mais qu'en est-il de lui?
Dans la rue tout le monde vous entend crier, mais au fond qui s'en soucie.

Hambuster is a graduation movie co-directed by five students from Supinfocom Arles.
This production is a 6 min short film and it was all done in 3D stereoscopic.
Just enjoy!
