a mockumentary in English

In this modern and realistic transposition of one of the best-known characters from Lewis Carroll's novel, Nick Fouquet plays himself: an American hatter. The backdrop changes from Wonderland into Venice Beach – California; the “madness" of its protagonist changes as he tells his own story, that of his ethics, his work, his lifestyle and his inspiration in an interview where his off-screen voice unleashes a maelstrom of thoughts.

Playing with Ice - (Sci-fi / Drama)

a narrative film in English

"[Playing with Ice] is a wonderful and satisfying short that speaks volumes about what we hold inside and the damage it causes. Wisler has made a life-affirming and nifty pseudo sci-fi movie all at the same time. Bravo!" - from Philip Smolen's review of "Playing with Ice" (Rogue Cinema)

Tired of her life of solitude, Jocelyn applies for a mysterious program at Heri-Tech Corp. But the interview proves to be far more difficult than she ever anticipated. In the process, Emma, who works for Heri-Tech, learns of Jocelyn’s painful past of being rejected by her family when she came out. Unprepared for such a vulnerable interview, Jocelyn lashes out at Emma. And yet, could this interview be the very thing Jocelyn needs to help her embrace life here and now?

The Secret Number - Full Film

a narrative film in English

"The Secret Number" is a short sci-fi (ish) psychological drama that was created over a period of two years by a team of young filmmakers from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

http://secretnumber.colinlevy.com

Based on the short story by Igor Teper, THE SECRET NUMBER is about a man whose world is thrown into question. Psychiatrist Simon Tomlin (Daniel Jones) has a troubling conversation with one of his patients - a brilliant mathematician named Ersheim (Tom Nowicki), who intends to prove the existence of a secret integer between three and four. Ersheim's delusion compels Tomlin to dig deeper, but he only uncovers more questions -- about fate, connection… the nature of reality.

Do You Pass the Israel Test?

a lecture in English

Would you believe us if we said that the best litmus test of any society's success is its attitude towards Israel? Well, it's true. As George Gilder explains, whether a society envies and resents Israel's success or celebrates and tries to replicate it is indicative of that society's progress. Countries that "pass" the "Israel Test" tend to rise. Those who don't tend to sink. So, does your society pass the "Israel Test"? In five minutes, find out.

100 Years - Armenian Genocide

an experimental film in English

In 2015, we created this cell animation short to commemorate the Armenian Genocide Centenary. To the date, the Turkish government still denies the genocide took place, dodging their responsibility. 100 years will have passed this April 24th, and Armenians will keep on fighting for justice. This is a small tribute to the 1.500.000 victims.

Sunrise Over Tiananmen Square

a documentary in English

Shui-Bo Wang's feature documentary is a visual autobiography of an artist who grew up in China during the historic upheavals of the '60s, '70s and '80s. A rich collage of original artwork and family and archival photographs presents a personal perspective on the turbulent Cultural Revolution and the years that followed. For Shui-Bo Wang and others of his generation, Tiananmen Square was the central symbol of the new China -- a society to be based on equality and cooperation. This animated documentary artfully traces Shui-Bo's roots and his own life journey as he struggles to sort through ideology and arrive at truth.

Directed by Shui-Bo Wang - 1998

The Mystery of Fast-5 and D.I.E.T.: Bert Herring, MD at TEDxRiversideAvondale

a talk in English

Originally destined for the surgical suite, Bert's experiences in the Marine Corps changed his outlook on medicine and the realities of global problems. After working at the National Institute of Health with a focus on cancer treatments, Bert found time to study global obesity. The outcome of this research sparked the Fast-5 weight-loss tool, which has helped thousands of people overcome obesity. It's a way of eating that is consistent with a lifestyle emphasizing simplicity and value—two virtues that are conspicuously absent in America's booming weight-loss industry.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
